pet sounds - the beach boys

so this is my favourite album by far. i got it awhile ago just after getting out of high school. i had heard alot about his album and how it's considered one of the greatest of all time and stuff. i remember getting it in some music club like bmg or something and when it came i listened to it once and then put it on the shelve, not really liking it to much. so it sat there for probably a year or so until i heard about it again being one of the greatest albums of all time. i again put it in to hear what i was missing and still didn't get it. so i decided to play it and only it until i did get it. it was a rough couple of days when i forced myself to listen to nothing else, but i was determined to 'get' it. i think it was probably the fifth day when i really did get it and instead of forcing myself to listen to pet sounds, it was the album i couldn't wait to put on.
if you haven't heard this album yet, get it cause it's amazing. pitchfork media ( the link on the album name ) does it a little more justice than i do. rolling stone magazine says it's second only to rubber soul.
