this picture was taken a couple of weeks back in liberty village. it seems that the village is ripe with lots of great photo opportunities.

so there has been lots of talk especially in the globe and mail about the gomery commission in to any liberal wrong doing in the adscam debacle. as you know we canadians are under a publication ban and can't just pick up a paper and read the supposedly damning testimony given by jean brault. this is not a political blog in any regard but i do think that if the possibility of an snap election being called that we should be informed. so i can't provide the link for you, you can google 'captain quarter's' and you can read the testimony yourself. i don't know how i feel about another election being called. on one hand it may be great for the ndp and they would certainly pick up a number of seats, but it would also mean that the conservatives would stand a greater chance of winning the election if the testimony by brault is true, which would be a terrible, terrible thing. anyway, canadians should know what is going on.

great interview with gayla from making happy appears here.

i've been amazed recently on what i've manage to learn by doing this site. last night i had another little design breakthrough, it was small so i won't bore you with the details but it made me realize that before i got this computer about a year and a half ago i knew nothing about computers and less than nothing about web design. a month ago i found a text book on dreamweaver in a discount bin and thought that it would be great to read up and acquire some new skills but when i actually did sit down to read it i already knew about 95% of the stuff inside and it was over a thousand pages. all that in eight months. which leads to something that i find rather annoying when i look at other photoblogs from around the world, they all look the same! everyone seems to use either a bloggers.com or blogspot template and they all end up the same. i'm surprised that people still use them considering this fact. it's not that they look bad per se but just indistinguishable from everyone else's photos, they all blur into one.
